Nestled in the shadow of mighty Dhauladhar range is the quaint town of Dharamshala. Sitting quietly at an altitude of 1457 meters above sea level is a hill station, often referred to as ‘Little Lhasa’. Being the seat of the Dalai Lama, it makes it to the ‘been-there-done-that’ list of any ardent traveller. We start by riding through the beautiful outskirts of Dharamshala full of pine forests and tea plantations. The highlight of the experience is the famous Norbulingka institute, a Buddhist monastery. A perfect place for experiencing Tibetan culture, one can witness the famous Tibetan handicrafts: Tibetan paintings and Thangka weaving. We take you on a journey where you get a taste of the flavour of rich multi-cultural history that dates back to several centuries. With special access to a village full of traditional mud houses older than 200 years old, we offer you a learning experience about the traditional village settlements. We also visit one of the oldest temples of Dharamshala and hear about interesting stories right from the Pandava times.

We start our experience from Club Mahindra Kandaghat by riding through the beautiful valley taking us to the village settlement of Kandaghat. The main highlight of this tour is visiting the beautiful green houses which showcase the produce of peaches, plums, pomegranates, apples and flower orchids as Kandaghat is one of the largest greenhouse producers for Chandigarh and Delhi. We then cycle back through the village learning about their culture and heritage. We cycle further towards the famous peak of Kandaghat to catch a panoramic view of the valleys of Solan before riding back to the hub.
